Five Songs, Part 89

Stories: Their singer (second from right) looked British, sounded British with that Rod Stewart rasp, and was named Ian Lloyd. But they weren’t from the land of the Queen — they were from the borough of Queens.

Well, this week’s Five Songs comes straight from the mixdisc that’s been in the car stereo the past week.I could’ve included many more of the 22 songs, but let’s keep it to five for simplicity’s sake, okay?

Besides, I’ve been running around trying to get things tied down for my big move home in 3 1/2 weeks. BTW: If you care to lend or donate to my kickstarterish-type fundraising to get my rental truck across the country (hopefully in one piece), click on the button below, and thanks in advance. Enjoy the weekend …

Stoned Soul Picnic — The Fifth Dimension

Brother Louie — Stories

A Girl Like You — Edwyn Collins

Village of Love — Nathaniel Mayer & the Fabulous Twilights

Fox on the Run — Sweet
